Description

Chocolate Lasagna is a rich and creamy layered dessert featuring an Oreo crust, smooth cream cheese layer, mixed vanilla and chocolate pudding, and topped with whipped cream and chocolate syrup. Perfect for chocolate lovers looking for a no-bake treat with multiple delightful textures.

Ingredients

Scale

Crust

  • 14.3 ounces package of Oreo cookies regular, not double stuffed
  • ½ cup melted margarine or butter

Cream Cheese Layer

  • 8 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 8 ounces Cool Whip softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar

Pudding Layer

  • 1 (5.1 ounces) box instant vanilla pudding
  • 1 (5.1 ounces) box instant chocolate pudding
  • 3 cups milk

Topping

  • 8 ounces Cool Whip
  • Chocolate syrup
  • 1 cup crushed Oreos (reserved from the crust)
  • Optional: Chocolate curls or your favorite chocolate candy chopped into small pieces

Instructions

  1. Prepare Oreo Crust: Add whole Oreos to a food processor and pulse until evenly crumbled. Reserve one cup of these crushed Oreos for topping. Mix the remaining crushed Oreos with ½ cup melted margarine and press firmly into the bottom of a 9×13 inch pan. Refrigerate for at least 10-20 minutes to set.
  2. Make Cream Cheese Layer: In a bowl, combine 8 ounces softened cream cheese, 8 ounces softened Cool Whip, and 1 cup powdered sugar. Mix until smooth and spread evenly over the chilled Oreo crust. Return to the refrigerator to chill for another 10-20 minutes.
  3. Prepare Pudding Layer: In a separate bowl, mix together one package each of instant vanilla and chocolate pudding with 3 cups cold milk. Stir well until thickened and spread this layer over the cream cheese mixture. Chill again briefly.
  4. Add Whipped Topping: Spread the remaining 8 ounces of Cool Whip evenly over the pudding layer. Sprinkle the reserved crushed Oreos on top.
  5. Final Touches: Drizzle chocolate syrup lightly over the entire dessert. Optionally, garnish with chocolate curls or chopped favorite chocolate candies. Refrigerate the completed dessert until ready to serve, allowing layers to set.

Notes

  • Allow each layer to set in the refrigerator for 10-20 minutes to achieve distinct layers.
  • If you don't have a food processor, place Oreos in a Ziploc bag and crush with a rolling pin to desired crumble size.
  • Try adding mix-ins like M&M’s or nuts to customize the dessert.
  • Store leftovers covered tightly in the refrigerator for 3-4 days.
  • For longer storage, freeze in an airtight container for up to 2-3 months and thaw in the refrigerator before serving.
