Main Ingredients
- 2 cups unsweetened almond milk
- 2 shots espresso
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon allspice
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1/4 cup whipped cream (optional)
Instructions
- Combine Ingredients: In a small saucepan, add the almond milk, espresso, ground ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, and sugar.
- Heat Mixture: Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring the mixture to a simmer, stirring occasionally to blend the spices and sugar well.
- Simmer and Stir: Once simmering, reduce the heat to low and continue to stir regularly for 2 minutes to let the flavors infuse without boiling.
- Serve: Remove from heat and pour the latte evenly into two cups.
- Garnish: Top each cup with whipped cream if desired, and serve immediately for best flavor.
Notes
- If you don’t have an espresso machine or coffee maker, use instant coffee by combining 1/4 cup boiling water with 2 teaspoons instant or decaf coffee and reduce the almond milk to 1 3/4 cups.
- For an iced version, pour the latte over a glass filled with ice cubes before adding whipped cream.
- Any type of sugar can be used based on preference or dietary needs.
- Almond milk can be substituted with any other milk, such as dairy or oat milk.
