Description

Christmas Marshmallow Pops are a festive and fun holiday treat featuring marshmallows threaded onto candy canes, coated in luscious melted chocolate and colorful candy melts, and decorated with crushed candy canes and holiday sprinkles. These easy-to-make pops are perfect as party favors, gifts, or sweet snacks during the holiday season.

Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients

  • 6 candy canes unwrapped
  • 18 large marshmallows

Chocolate Coating

  • 1 cup melting chocolate
  • 1 cup white melting chocolate
  • ¼ cup green melts
  • ¼ cup red melts

Decorations

  • 2 tablespoons crushed candy canes
  • 2 tablespoons holiday sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Assemble: Thread 3 marshmallows onto each candy cane carefully. It’s best to leave candy canes wrapped to avoid breaking. If wrapped, gently wash them before use.
  2. Melt the chocolate: Place melting chocolate, white melting chocolate, and colored melts (red and green) each in separate microwave-safe bowls. Microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring between each until smooth and fully melted. Follow package instructions if they differ.
  3. Coat: Working quickly, coat half of the marshmallows in melted brown chocolate and the other half in white chocolate by spooning the chocolate evenly over each marshmallow pop, leaving the candy cane loop uncovered. Place them on parchment paper to set.
  4. Decorate: While the chocolate is still wet, sprinkle crushed candy canes and holiday sprinkles over the pops. Use melted red and green candy melts to drizzle or pipe festive designs on some of the pops. Let them harden on parchment paper for about 5 minutes.
  5. Serve: Once hardened, the marshmallow pops are ready to enjoy immediately or store for later use.

Notes

  • Storage: Store marshmallow pops in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 7 days. In warm climates, refrigerate to prevent melting.
  • Freezing is not recommended as it may affect texture and coating integrity.
  • To crush candy canes easily, place them in a zip-top bag and crush with a rolling pin or use a food processor.
  • Allow the chocolate coating to fully harden before storing or serving to maintain shape and prevent sticking.
