Description
This S’mores Bites recipe offers a fun and easy way to enjoy the classic campfire treat in mini form. Featuring a crunchy graham cracker crust, melted chocolate, and toasted marshmallow topping, these bite-sized delights are perfect for sharing at parties or as a sweet snack.
Ingredients
Scale
Base
- 6 graham crackers (about 1 package or sleeve)
- 6 tablespoons salted butter
- ¼ cup powdered sugar
Filling & Topping
- 2 Hershey's bars, broken into pieces
- 12 regular size marshmallows, cut in half
Instructions
- Preheat and Prepare: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and spray a mini muffin tin with non-stick cooking spray. Finely crush the graham crackers using a food processor or place them in a ziplock bag and crush using a rolling pin.
- Make the Base: In a small bowl, combine the crushed graham crackers, melted salted butter, and powdered sugar. Scoop approximately one teaspoon of the graham cracker mixture into each of the 24 wells of the mini muffin tin, pressing the crumbs down firmly with your fingers to form a base.
- Bake the Base: Place the muffin tin in the preheated oven and bake for 5 minutes or until the edges turn golden brown. Watch carefully to prevent burning.
- Prepare Chocolate and Marshmallows: While the crust bakes, break the chocolate bars into individual rectangular pieces. Cut the marshmallows in half using kitchen scissors dipped in warm water to prevent sticking.
- Assemble S’mores Bites: Remove the muffin tin from the oven and place one piece of chocolate in each cup on top of the baked crust. Follow by placing one marshmallow half, cut-side down, into each cup.
- Bake Again: Return the tin to the oven for 3 minutes or until the marshmallows are slightly softened. For a browned top, broil for 1-2 minutes but watch closely to avoid burning.
- Cool and Serve: Transfer the pan to a cooling rack and let the s’mores bites cool for 15 minutes before carefully removing them from the pan.
Notes
- Store s’mores bites in a single layer inside an airtight container or plastic bag at room temperature or refrigerated to maintain freshness.
- Use kitchen scissors dipped in warm water to cut marshmallows easily without sticking.
- Keep a close eye when broiling to prevent marshmallows from burning quickly.
