Description

Delightful and festive Strawberry Santas with creamy cream cheese frosting, perfect for holiday appetizers or desserts. These cute treats combine fresh strawberries, a sweet and smooth cream cheese frosting, and mini chocolate chip accents to create a fun and delicious Santa-themed snack.

Ingredients

Scale

Strawberries

  • 12 strawberries

Cream Cheese Frosting

  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup heavy cream

Decorations

  • mini chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Make the frosting: In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, vanilla extract, and powdered sugar. Mix until creamy and well blended.
  2. Whip the cream: Add the heavy cream to the cream cheese mixture and whip for 4-5 minutes until the frosting is thick, smooth, and creamy.
  3. Prepare piping bag: Transfer the cream cheese frosting into a piping bag for easy decorating.
  4. Prepare strawberries: Carefully wash the strawberries and pat them dry thoroughly so the frosting adheres well. Remove the green stems and cut about 1/4 inch off the top of each strawberry to create small cones to act as Santa hats. Set the hats aside.
  5. Assemble Santa’s body: Pipe the cream cheese frosting generously onto the bottom parts of the larger strawberry pieces to form Santa’s beard and face.
  6. Add Santa hats: Place the smaller cut strawberry pieces (Santa hats) on top of each frosted strawberry body.
  7. Decorate hats: Optionally dust powdered sugar over the hats to simulate snow, or leave plain. Use remaining frosting to pipe a white pom-pom on the tip of each hat.
  8. Create facial features: Pipe two small side swirls on the beard area to form Santa’s mustache and place two mini chocolate chips on the face for eyes.
  9. Chill and serve: Refrigerate the assembled Strawberry Santas until ready to serve. Enjoy these festive treats!

Notes

  • Ensure strawberries are completely dry before piping frosting to prevent it from sliding off.
  • For easier piping, chill the frosting briefly if it becomes too soft.
  • Mini chocolate chips can be substituted with small edible pearls or black sesame seeds for the eyes.
  • Powdered sugar dusting is optional but adds a festive snowy effect.
  • Use fresh, firm strawberries for best results and presentation.
