- ¼ cup fresh parsley, finely chopped, optional, for serving
For the Chicken Skewers
- 3 pounds boneless, skinless chicken thighs, cut into 2-inch strips
- 2 teaspoons salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Make Garlic Parmesan Butter: Melt the butter in a medium-sized bowl, then add the grated garlic, parmesan cheese, lemon zest, lemon juice, salt, and red pepper flakes. Stir well to combine.
- Prepare Skewers: Trim wooden skewers to fit your air fryer using poultry shears. If using metal skewers, ensure they fit your air fryer basket.
- Assemble Chicken: Thread 6-7 pieces of chicken thigh onto each skewer tightly. Season the chicken evenly with salt and black pepper.
- Brush with Butter: Using a basting brush, coat all sides of each skewer generously with the garlic parmesan butter.
- Air Fry First Cycle: Place the skewers in the air fryer set to 350°F and cook for 5 minutes.
- Baste and Continue Cooking: Remove the skewers, baste again with more garlic parmesan butter, and return to air fryer for another 5 minutes.
- Final Cooking: Brush once more with butter and cook for a last 5 minutes. Chicken skewers should be golden brown and fully cooked.
- Serve: Pour any reserved garlic parmesan butter from the air fryer over the cooked chicken. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and serve with lemon wedges.
