Description

Create festive Oreo Snowman Cookies coated in creamy white chocolate and decorated with colorful candy accents. These adorable treats feature Golden Oreos dipped in smooth white chocolate, adorned with black sugar pearl eyes, orange Tic Tac noses, and sour punch straw earmuffs with M&M buttons. Perfect for holiday parties or gifting, these cookies combine ease and creativity for a fun seasonal dessert.

Ingredients

Scale

Cookie Base

  • 24 Double Stuf Golden Oreos

Coating

  • 2 (10 oz.) bags Ghirardelli white chocolate melting wafers or white candy melts

Decorations

  • 168 black sugar pearl sprinkles
  • 24 orange Tic Tacs
  • 2 ounces pack sour punch straws, cut into 2-inch pieces
  • 48 M&Ms (use matching colors for each side of earmuffs)

Instructions

  1. Prepare Baking Sheets: Line two baking sheets with parchment paper and set aside for easy cleanup and to set the cookies.
  2. Melt Chocolate: Place the white chocolate wafers in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat in 30-second intervals, stirring thoroughly after each until the chocolate is fully melted and smooth.
  3. Coat Oreos: Using a fork, dip one Golden Oreo at a time into the melted white chocolate. Ensure the cookie is evenly coated. Lift it out and gently tap the fork on the edge of the bowl several times to remove excess chocolate.
  4. Place Coated Oreos: Transfer each coated Oreo to the prepared baking sheet. Work in small batches to keep the chocolate smooth and manageable.
  5. Decorate Eyes and Nose: Add two black sugar pearl sprinkles for the eyes on each coated Oreo. Then place one orange Tic Tac in the center for the snowman’s nose.
  6. Create Mouth: Arrange five black sugar pearls below the nose in a smile shape to form the mouth.
  7. Attach Earmuffs: Cut sour punch straws into 2-inch pieces for the earmuff straps. Attach one strap on the side of the Oreo and hold it in place for about 10 seconds to allow the chocolate to firm slightly.
  8. Add Earmuff Pads: Place one M&M candy on each end of the strap for the earmuff pads, matching colors on both sides.
  9. Repeat Decorating: Continue the coating and decorating process for all Oreos until complete.
  10. Chill: Place the decorated Oreos in the refrigerator on the baking sheets for 10 minutes or until the white chocolate is fully set.

Notes

  • Store the Oreo Snowman Cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 weeks. Separate layers with parchment paper to prevent sticking and protect decorations.
  • To make a smaller batch, melt only a portion of the white chocolate at a time to prevent waste and maintain smooth coating quality.
  • If black sugar pearls are unavailable for the mouth, use black confetti sprinkles or mini chocolate chips as alternatives.
  • Replace orange Tic Tacs with orange sprinkles or carrot-shaped sprinkles for a nose variation.
  • Earmuffs can be customized using Skittles, peppermint candies, Sprees, or use Twizzlers pull’n peel for the strap instead of sour punch straws.
  • Decorate faces with cookie icing as an alternative to sprinkles and candies for more precise designs.
  • Try different Oreo flavors such as Mega Stuf, mint, peanut butter, or peppermint for unique snowman cookie variations.
  • Add a lollipop stick to the bottom of the coated Oreo before it sets for a festive snowman pop. Wrap with cellophane and ribbon for gifting.
