Description

Salted Caramel Pretzel Bark is a delightful no-bake treat that combines smooth milk chocolate, crunchy pretzels, and sweet, creamy caramel for a perfect balance of flavors and textures. Easy to prepare and perfect for snacking or gifting.

Ingredients

Scale

Chocolate Base

  • 12 oz milk chocolate chips

Toppings

  • 8 oz pretzels (half of 16 oz bag)
  • 11 oz Kraft caramels, unwrapped
  • 2 tbsp heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Prepare Baking Sheet: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set it aside to prevent sticking and make cleanup easier.
  2. Melt Chocolate: Melt the milk chocolate chips in the microwave using 30-second intervals, stirring well after each interval, until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth.
  3. Spread Chocolate: Spread two-thirds of the melted chocolate evenly over the prepared baking sheet to create a base layer for the bark.
  4. Add Pretzels: Arrange the pretzels evenly over the melted chocolate and gently press them down so they stick to the chocolate base.
  5. Melt Caramel: Combine the unwrapped caramels with heavy cream and microwave for 2 minutes until fully melted, stirring halfway through to ensure smoothness.
  6. Drizzle Caramel: Evenly drizzle the melted caramel over the pretzels to add a rich, sweet layer.
  7. Drizzle Remaining Chocolate: Drizzle the remaining one-third melted chocolate over the caramel and pretzels to finish the bark.
  8. Chill: Place the baking sheet in the refrigerator and chill until the bark is completely set and firm, about 1 hour.
  9. Serve: Break the bark into pieces and serve or store in an airtight container.

Notes

  • Use high-quality milk chocolate for the best flavor and smooth texture.
  • If caramels are too thick, add an extra tablespoon of heavy cream for easier drizzling.
  • For a decorative touch, sprinkle sea salt flakes on top of the caramel before chilling.
  • Store the bark in an airtight container at room temperature or in the refrigerator for up to one week.
  • Ensure the bark is completely cool before breaking it to avoid crumbling or breaking unevenly.
